Recently, actually a few minutes ago, one of my friends asked me how to align equations by their equal signs. He wanted to align all equations by their equal sings. (You can clearly see what I'm talking about in the image below. I have typed four equations and they are not aligned by their equal sings.) The first thing we want to do is to avoid typing these equations as separate equations . Yes, that is what we always do. We type the first equation and hit the big enter button, and then we type the second one and hit enter, and we type the third one... so on. But in our case, we have to type all these equations in one box. But how to do that? It's easy, we just have to press shift + enter , instead of pressing enter, at the end of the equation. (Just cut and paste if you already have typed all the equations as individual ones.) Note! What happens here is that when you press shift + enter it creates another line for the same equation.
